Territory Farmers Market
2022 Territory Farmers Market
We are excited to welcome Vendors and Customers back to The Territory Farmers Market this season. Visit the Territory Farmers Market Sundays from 8 a.m. until noon through Oct. 9, 2022, in the parking lot of The Galena Territory Association (GTA) Owners' Club, 2000 Territory Drive in The Galena Territory, Galena, Illinois 61036.
In addition to your favorite Farmer Market vendors, plan to attend the special arts & crafts market vendors on Oct. 2 for an outdoor Holiday Market!Directions
From U.S. Highway 20 at the main entrance of The Galena Territory follow Eagle Ridge Drive to the stop sign. Turn right. Follow Wachter Road to Territory Drive. Turn left onto Territory Drive and follow it to the GTA Owners' Club. Turn into the parking lot. Plenty of free parking is available. The event is open to the public!
The Territory Farmers Market is an event sponsored by the Greenspace Advisory Group of The Galena Territory Association, Inc. This volunteer group helps oversee the preservation and maintenance of the GTA's 1,900 acres of common grounds, trails and natural areas located in The Galena Territory.
Per Illinois Farmers Market Association guidelines, we are encouraging this season’s events to be “In and Out Markets.” We understand that one of the best things about Farmers Markets is the social aspect, but we respectfully ask our customers to keep visits to the Market efficient. Please do not shop at the Market if you are sick. Vendors, volunteers and customers should wear a mask, per state guidelines.
COVID-19 Safety
The Market looks a little different than previous seasons. Vendor booths will be spread farther apart and we will have markings to encourage one-way traffic and social distancing throughout the Market. Hand sanitizer stations will be available in the Market and at Vendor booths.
Food will not be prepared on-site and samples are not allowed this season.
More than half of our vendors accept debit or credit cards and we encourage you to use the payment method where possible. In an effort to minimize contact, vendors may or may not provide change for cash transactions. If paying with cash, you are encouraged to have smaller bills and close to exact change available for items. Lastly, if you choose to bring a reusable bag, the customer is responsible for placing items into the bag, not the vendor.
Vendors have a list of requirements to reduce possible contamination of their products. For more information on these specific guidelines, please contact Emily Lubcke.
