The Galena Territory is a semi-private residential resort community. While you are visiting, we want you to have fun, but we also need you to mind the rules. Please note that our amenities are not open to the general public. You must be staying in The Territory and have an amenity card to access our amenities.
Here are a few of the top things you need to know:
- Amenity Cards – you will need an amenity card to gain access to the Owners’ Club pool, fitness center, game room and Snack Bar. It’s recommended to keep an amenity card with you even if you are at the Marina, walking on one of the trails or going to one of the refuse centers. It’s just a way for us to verify that you are staying here.
- Parking – you will need to stop in and ask the Administrative Office for a parking pass. The Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. If you arrive after 4:30 p.m., you may contact Security at 815-266-6251. Parking passes are required on all vehicles at all common properties, including the refuse centers, while staying in The Territory. To obtain a parking pass, you’ll need to provide:
- The name of the owner/business or the address of where you are staying.
- Your last name.
- Date you are staying until.
-
Noise – because this is a residential area, we have guidelines in place regarding noise. As a rule of thumb, if it’s loud, keep it down. See the Rules & Regulations for more details.
-
Outside Lights – because we value our night sky, we have rules in place for when outside lights can be on. Generally, outside lights must be shut off by 1 a.m.
- Refuse – what should you do with your garbage? We have two refuse centers in The Territory: Brodrecht Road Refuse Center and Mount Hope Road Refuse Center. Your amenity card gives you access. They are open daily, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
