Property Owners,

The Galena Territory Association, including Administrative offices, Owners’ Club, and its Recreation Complex, closed March 21, 2020 until 8:30 a.m. April 8, 2020 to comply with the “Stay-at-Home” Executive Order of Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Property owners and their guests can fish or visit Lake Galena, walk trails and use outdoor tennis, pickleball and basketball courts within The Territory, but follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines such as social distancing at all times.

The Shenandoah Riding Center is closed to the public, but remains open for boarders. Essential staff will stay to care for horses.

The GTA Security Department is available 24 hours a day at 815-266-6251 for emergencies or urgent services only.

Key personnel will work from home. Management will continue to monitor guidance from local, national and global health organizations. As new information and guidelines emerge, we will continue to follow recommended actions.

Continue to check thegalenaterritory.com, GTA emails and the official GTA Facebook Group for updates and event cancellations.

Please know that it’s the hope of all of us at GTA that you and your family remain safe during this unprecedented and uncertain time.

Sincerely,

Steve Wyland
General Manager
The Galena Territory Association

Coming together as one community
We are heartened by the outpouring of generosity and support found in The Galena
Territory and surrounding area as we contend with the coronavirus.

First and foremost, we are a community. If you have a neighbor who is self-
quarantined, elderly or non-mobile, give them a call and check on them. Let them
know you care.

The Galena Territory is known for coming together in times of need and I am
confident that we are up to this
task.

Introducing Helping Hands

The Galena Territory Association introduces Helping Hands. It’s a gateway for
property owners to volunteer to pick up groceries, prescriptions or do other light
errands to support homeowners who cannot or should not be out and about. It’s
also a central place for those who need assistance to connect with volunteers.

If you need assistance
If you need someone to pick up groceries, medicine or carry-out meals from a
local restaurant, email or call GTA Board Member Eileen Will at 708-205-7887.
She will help coordinate arrangements.

How can you help?
If you are not sick and are comfortable venturing out, consider volunteering to
bring comfort to those in need. Email or call Eileen Will at 708-205-7887.

We also encourage you to reference the additional resources below for best
practices to keep yourself and those around you safe.
