Association Info contains basic organization and community guidelines that are essential knowledge for all homeowners:
Meet the elected Board of Directors, which sets policy and direction for the Association, review Minutes and the Schedule for their Monthly Meetings. An Application for Members who want to run for the Board in the future appears here.
Committees of homeowner volunteers address diverse association topics at monthly meetings, most often held on Saturdays when almost any homeowner can attend. Committee Schedules, Meeting Minutes, and an Application for Appointment to a Standing Committee is included here (some committees are open to any interested members).
The volunteers conduct much of the work of The Territory, with each Committee led by at least one Board member. In turn, the volunteers are repaid with opportunities:
to meet and befriend other homeowners with like interests,
to participate in research and learn about the Committee’s specific topic and how the GTA and surrounding local areas are affected by it, and
to enjoy using their own talents and experiences, together with Board members and assigned staff, to shape and achieve GTA goals.
In short, committee volunteers are involved in a satisfying form of ongoing adult education and professional activities with significant social, cognitive and community benefits.
The LP Coop Purchasing Program seeks bids from propane gas dealers to service GTA homes as a group with significant resulting cost savings to members.
Architectural Review applications for construction, changes or color changes, and tree cutting are found here.
For Sale By Owner signs need to be purchased from the Association. When any of these programs require that participating homeowners fill out forms, these are provided as needed on the relevant web pages.
Territory Security is staffed by professional officers who patrol the Territory around the clock and provide safety for members and property.
Fee Schedule for annual assessments and special programs as well as fines for rule violations are posted here.
The 1986 book, “History of the Galena Territory”, is reprinted to acquaint interested members with this knowledgeable account of our past.
