The Lend A Hand Scholarship program is the brainchild of the Education and Taxation Committee. In addition to focusing on fair spending, fair taxes and fair fund balances in the three school districts that touch the Galena Territory, this Committee wanted to work with the students of those school districts as well.

     The Galena Territory Foundation is the entity that accumulates the donations received from various fundraisers and donations received. Fundraisers include the Shrimp on the Barbie party as well as the Territory Art Fair. No member assessments are used in this endeavor.

The Lend a Hand Scholarships are awarded to both traditional college-university students and vocational-technical school students.
