Linda Rode will be your instructor and will focus on: Proper breathing techniques for meditation & asana practice The primary openings of the hips and shoulders Extension, flexion and rotation of the spine Linda is a registered Hatha yoga teacher having received her certification through The Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago, Illinois. She has practiced yoga for more than 10 years, five of which while living in Japan and Singapore. Linda’s philosophy is that yoga should be accessible to all students and create a feeling of stability and comfort through a series of structured poses. Therefore, props such as blocks, belts, blankets and/or chairs are often used during her classes
Learn to line dance it great fun and what a way to make exercising fun! There is not cost for this great fun activity. Weekly activity.
NIA is short for Neuromuscular Integrative Action. It combines expressive modern dance and heart pumping karate kicks. This dance-based exercise is the ultimate “East meets West” method to tone your body, mind and spirit. Cost varies; no pre-registration needed.

This group of gentlemen meets weekly to play various card games. So, guys, if you’re looking for something to do on a Monday night, stop by the Owners’ Club and play a hand (or 2) of cards!

This is the monthly meeting of the Lake Managment and Ecology Committee. This committee is open to all property owners. Interested members should plan to attend.
Jim Mantey offers guitar lessons from beginner to advanced in different styles of music. Before moving to Galena, Jim was a regular performer in the Chicago music industry. He is currently a music professor at Loras College in Dubuque, IA, and is dedicated to bringing guitar learning and enjoyment to the community. Do you have several unfinished sewing projects in your sewing basket or hidden in the back of your closet or how about a problem you can’t quite solve? The Sew N So’s group might be just what you need to answer this question or offer the help you need to complete the project. A wide variety of experience, expertise and knowledge will help you finish those unfinished projects. Different members of the group teach fun group projects, too. Come share your favorite projects.
Tennis doubles are open to everyone! It doesn’t matter about skill level; its about having fun! A round-robin rotation is used so that players have the opportunity to compete with and against different people. All are welcome! No advanced sign-up is necessary.
Our bridge groups meet every Wednesday.
The 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays are for Duplicate Bridge starting at 12:30 p.m.;the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays are set aside for Rubber Bridge starting at 1:00 p.m.
Bridge lessons are available at certain times of the year, too. Everyone is welcome to join in.
Basic Hatha Yoga can benefit your metabolism, relieve tension, muscle aches and help you to maintain great health all of your life. Of course, with anything you have to remember that not only exercise can keep your body and mind healthy. You also have to be conscious of what you eat and be aware of yourself. Yoga can help you in these areas and encourage you to live a better life. Attention to individual body type and levels of flexibility.
The ladies coffee is a weekly event at the Owners’ Club Complex held on Wednesday mornings. This event is a chance for ladies to meet and socialize with old and new friends. Volunteer hostesses serve a light variety of breakfast finger foods. Weekly announcements keep everyone updated on Territory and area happenings. No sign-up is required; everyone is welcome to come.
The GTA Social Committee will be meeting to discuss current events that are scheduled and will also begin planning for other events. Please join us to help make the social events more appealing for you and yours.
