The Security Department is here to serve you. Available 24 hours per day, seven days each week, the Security Department is always on duty. They can be reached on their cell phone at 815-266-6251.

Not only do they patrol the Galena Territory, they work closely with the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office as well as the fire departments and ambulance districts serving the Galena Territory.

They provide directions to lost members and guests and control access to the Association amenities. The Security Department provides many other services to the members, such as:

Heat Light Program: Annually, the Security Department staff responds to hundreds of flashing heat lights! This program was established in the early 1990’s to offer some protection to member’s homes in case of a furnace failure.

Fire, Burglar, and Carbon Monoxide Alarms: If you have an alarm system in your home and there is a problem, the Security Department is dispatched to assist in determining the problem. With any luck it’s a false alarm, but they are there to assist if needed.

Community Watch: The Security Department works closely with the Sheriff’s Office to educate our members to look for unusual activity and report it. Any member interested in being part of this program only needs to contact the office to be placed on the notification list to receive any requests for information on recent criminal activity (such as vandalism) or mailing list for upcoming meetings.
