The Galena Territory Association, also known as the GTA, is the common interest community association that manages and preserves the 1,900 acres of common properties and recreational amenities collectively owned by property owners in The Galena Territory. These common properties include:
- Lake Galena, a 225-acre fishing lake and adjacent Marina Park Complex
- 24-mile Trail System that meanders through the Greenspace land buffer surrounding individual properties
- Owners’ Club Complex including a new indoor and outdoor pool/recreation addition which opened on Memorial Day Weekend 2012, and
- The Shenandoah Riding Center, an equestrian facility which is leased from the GTA by a third-party equestrian management company.
The GTA also provides property management and maintenance services to all eight condominium and townhouse associations located within The Territory (often referred to as satellite associations), and offers programs and services to help owners maintain their individual properties.
Established as a not-for-profit corporation, the day-to-day operations of the GTA are administered by a full-time, certified community association management team with oversight and policy/decision-making provided by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected from and by property owners. The Association also benefits from the services of a number of volunteer committees comprised of property owners who volunteer their talents and experiences to create a community where there is truly something for everyone.
