Give second language learning a try!

Spanish via Stories for Children, 4-5 p.m.

TUESDAYS - Six-week class beginning Jan. 15. Children ages 6-15 learn Spanish by listening to engaging stories. Learning how the beginning, middle and end of a story connect—while listening to Spanish—helps the learner focus on the message rather than on learning Spanish. An additional motivation for learners with this approach is watching the instructor illustrate each story as she reveals with gestures and repeats key phrases. Parents must accompany child to class. Limited class size. $25 each class.

Linking Spanish Language by Telling Tales for Adults, 2-3:30 p.m.

TUESDAYS - Eight-week class beginning Jan. 15. Adults, ages 16 and over, will experience success with an innovative learning approach that provides comprehensible Spanish input in several engaging and unique ways—humorous stories with movement, drama and legends. Novice learners of  Spanish learners or those who took Spanish previously will acquire Spanish without stress. Additionally, those who struggled in high school because the focus was memorizing vocabulary or mastering grammar concepts will succeed. Limited class size. $25 each class.

Please register by Jan. 2. Contact instructor Jeanette Borich jeanetteborich.wixsite.com/cirootsreclaimed/ or languagesmerax2@gmail.com. Call Recreation Coordinator Sue Young at 815-777-2000.
