Territory Farmers Market

EVERY SUNDAY through October 7, 8 a.m. until Noon Fresh produce, free-range and antibiotic-free meat, flowers and plants, jams, jellies, baked goods, arts and crafts, breakfast vendors and more... Belden School was built in 1859.The stone structure is located off Heatherdowns Lane in The Galena Territory. The Belden School Restoration Committee was formed in 2004 by a group of Territory residents. Active efforts, using funds contributed from many interested and generous people, resulted in the restoration of the building. The committee provides FREE tours and special events at the school on the first and third Saturdays June through October from 10 a.m. until noon.

Just Show Up Fridays

Fridays at 6 p.m. in August and September 
at the Lake Galena Marina Deck. This event is just what it says... Just Show Up! Just Show Ups are informal. Bring your own picnic supper, beverages, table service and lawn chairs. We provide the grill. The view of Lake Galena is better ... shared with friends. 

Barbie Party

Aug. 11 at 1 p.m.

Star Gazing (Public Observation)

August 11 - 8 p.m.,  September 8 - 7:30 p.m., October 27 - 6:30 p.m. 
Sponsored by: The Galena Territory Association Recreation Department and The Galena Astronomical Society in the Owners' Club parking lot. Bring your telescope! No worries if you forget or don’t own a telescope, we will have some for the event! Meteorite Identification presentation: August 11, 7 p.m.
 This FREE presentation will show you how to identify meteorites and categorize them into their three main classification types. No pre-registration necessary. Genuine meteorite specimens will be available for purchase.

Kayak 5K Fun Paddle

Glow Hike

Saturday, August 25, 7 p.m.
Join the Recreation and Natural Resources Coordinators and  for an evening hike. Listen, watch and identify insects, birds and animals which are active at night in The Territory. Wear your favorite Glow-in-the-dark clothing. Bring glow sticks. This is a FREE event. Meet at the Owners' Club. Farm to Table Dinner

Aug. 26 at 5 p.m.
The Farm to Table Dinner returns on Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa ballroom. Cocktails are at 5 p.m. and dinner follows at 6. Tickets are $60 each and will go on sale starting Saturday, June 30. They are available at the Administrative office or at the farmers market in the GTA tent. The food will feature fresh ingredients from Territory Farmers Market vendors, including local jam and jelly, honey, beef, bison, chicken, pork, lamb and summer harvest vegetables. A silent auction will benefit the Galena Territory Foundation Education & Scholarship Fund. The evening will feature a cash bar and music from farmers market musicians. Purchase tickets by Aug. 19 with cash or check at the GTA Owners’ Club, Monday thru Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or at the Territory Farmers Market every Sunday 8 a.m. to noon. Pickleball Play Day

September 8,  from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Marina Complex
Two Pickleball All Skill Fun Scrambles – one for women, one for men and one competition event – Mixed Doubles All Skills Tournament. Please register by Aug. 30.  
•>$20 for entry into a single event; either scramble or the mixed doubles;
•$5 additional for entry into both a scramble and the mixed doubles
•Includes play in event(s), hospitality area and T-shirt

All Skill Fun Scrambles 
•Doubles, round-robin, each game with a different partner;
•There will be 12 slots available in both the women’s and men’s events.
•Each player is guaranteed six games;
•Games will be to 11, win by two points;
•Players keep their score for each doubles match in which they play;
•Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded for players with the highest cumulative score;

All Skill Mixed Doubles
•Will be doubles, round robin play;
•Teams consist of one woman and one man;
•Games will be to 11, win by two points;
•Teams are guaranteed six games;
•Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to teams with highest number of games won

Fall Bass Fishing Classic

September 8, 7:30 a.m.
Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. Tournament: 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. $35 person  in advance ($40 day of event). $10 per boat for Big Bass Contest. Pre-register by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4. Early registration includes lunch and eligibility for door prizes. Day-of event registration does not include lunch or door prize drawing.

9-Hole Shoot Out

September 21, 3 p.m.
Eagle Ridge Resort East Course. 10 Golfers start the round, the highest scoring golfer is eliminated after each hole. As many spectators as carts will allow. $5 per spectator/$10 per cart, proceeds to benefit the Eagle Touchstone Foundation and distributed to local High School Golf Programs. Dinner at Woodstone after the event. The whole point of this event is to watch these 10 players playoff to a championship AND to have fun as spectators!! Come and watch your fellow Territorians strut their golf stuff in this fun event!

Hit the Trail (Walk)

September 22, October 20 at 9 a.m.

Lil' General Putt Putt Challenge

September 28, 4 p.m.
Play on an 18-Hole Championship Miniature Golf Course, complete with a cascading waterfall, rapids, streams, a fountain and beautiful landscaping! Located next to The Palace Campgrounds, 2 miles west of Galena on Hwy. 20. Shotgun start. 18 holes. $5 per person. (Pay at the door) 4-some sign up: contact Barb Liles: with names.
